The Tommy Squires Trio

My youngest brother Tom, who was five years older than me, crossed over on December 19, 2011, at the age of 64, from a Dementia/Alzheimers-related disease.  Tommy, as we called him, was a sportswriter for the Nashville Tennessean who went on to help Gannett set up the USA Today sports department and then to help establish Gannett's Florida Today, in Melbourne, Florida.  He came home to spearhead Titans Exclusive, the original team publication for The Titans when they moved here from Houston.  At the same time, he co-founded SportsNashville, later to become NashvilleSportsWeekly, a city-wide publication dedicated to local high school and college sports.  Although Tom never really learned to play a musical instrument he found himself in a musical family and in order to participate musically he liked to pretend to play the harmonica.  In the latter stages of his disease, he had a ton of fun performing with me and our oldest brother, Jim.  We had a lot of fun, too, backing him and watching him "perform."  These videos are a testimony to how much fun the three of us had.
