The Living Room Floor Band

The Living Room Floor Band is the name given to my efforts at recording songs I have written that have evolved over the years from a 2-track recorder to a 4-track and a Roland Dr. Rhythm drum machine, to a 24-track Portastudio with various and sundry cheap drum machines and musical recording equipment.  Most folks doing home studio stuff these days are doing it with computer software like ProTools and such.  I learned about computers long before many of my contemporaries because I was selling them when a megabyte of RAM and a 10-meg mini-disk were the standards.  But my current computer hardware is not quite powerful enough to operate efficiently.  So, I'm in old-school mode with my Portastudio and I like it.  Closer to my hands-on experience. My skill as a musician is mediocre at best especially compared to most of the real musicians in this town.  But probably no one has had as much fun as me doing these recordings in my living room floor.

There are also some professionally done
studio tracks included in my catalog.
